After two years of strictly shooting 35mm film, it was time to begin the rebuilding of a digital portfolio. Deciding on the Fujifilm X-T1 proved to be a rather smooth transition. It's compactness, durability and analog dials makes it seem as if I'm still shooting with one of my film cameras. I had presumed that shooting digital would take away from my excitement that was often experienced through shooting film, like the absolute focus on correctly exposing the frame as opposed to being able to preview it on a LCD screen. But once again, this camera proved me wrong with it simplistic, facile controls and in-camera film simulations. I am excited to continue on creating a transparent translation from my analog work into my refined digital work.
Here are some of my recent favorites with the X-T1 / 35mm f2 combo. I hope you enjoy!
